This is the best Web Browser on the market, It is free and a lot better than internet explorer for browsing the web. The program supports tabbed browsing which make it easier when you have multiple webpage's open, also the popup blocker is better than IE, also has configurable search engine bar built in.

AVG anti-virus is a free anti-virus program that is as it is not for commercial use, with the free version you get regular updates, and the virus scan is very good and pick up around 99.9% of virus.  This is defiantly recommend if you don't have a subscription to any anti-virus software.

This is a very good program for organising all of your digital photo's on your pc.  This program is available at a cost but it well worth it, there are many features including basic editing and fixing of your photos, as well as being able to do photo shows for e-mail or onto CD/DVD.

QCD for short, this is a great media player mainly for music and video files.  Its is a free program to download.  I find this program a lot better than MS media player as it deals with play lists a lot better.  Has deferent features you can change the look of the player via downloading skins, The graphic equalizer is very good in this player.  A definite recommended download.

Trillian is a multi messenger program that supports msn, yahoo, aim, icq, aol etc.  I prefer this to both yahoo and msn messenger.  Though not as many features as the others, but still a very good program.  There should be a new version out late 2006 codenamed astra, witch should have more feature's.
